Tax Freedom Day is promoted by Institución Futuro, a liberal think tank situated in Navarre, which designs and promotes a better socioeconomic future for Navarre's civil society. To this end, it analyses public policy and presents innovative proposals through its research and activities.
This campaign pretends to sensitise the population, especially in Navarre, of the amount of taxes they are paying. Furthermore, it intends to rise citizen awareness that public services are not free, but are financed with every taxpayer's money, who are the ones generating wealth.
